Haunted Hampstead history walking tour
Hampstead is the beautifully gothic, leafy suburb in north London known for the celebrity residents and centuries of rich history!
Our haunted history walk begins at Hampstead heath overground station ends near Jack Straws castle, one of the meeting points for people during the peasants revolt!
In between these two significant points you will be taken on a tour through centuries of history with tales of murder, hauntings, highway men,links to Bram stokers Dracula, Van Helsing, serial killers and historic figures, linked together by dark cobbled streets and old street lamps.
You will visit two gothic cemeteries and be told the stories of the hauntings there!
Many famous poets and writers would sit over looking the heath, including John Keats, Robert louis Stevenson and Daphne de Maurier, who’s homes we pass.
