Avenue house Halloween ghost hunt

Join the Twilight team as we return for the 5th year running on Halloween, to one of our favourite haunted locations!

This building was lived in by Henry “inky” Stephens, who created the famous blue ink, making him somewhat of a Victorian celebrity!  Henry was firstly a Dr who trained with the poet Keats at the London hospital. He had a home and surgery in Redbourne  before moving to Finchley and then him and his son running the ink business. He was a very loved man locally and invested lots of love and time in to the building- he first in the area and at the time to have its own independent water supply. The gardens are beautiful by day, but can be quite scary at night- we have experienced this for ourselves!

This house was also used as a hospital and look out point during both world wars, the basement being used as a morgue for many years. The land itself dates back to the knights Templars and also has links to king Henry VIII. Avenue house was used in ww1 with the basement lending itself as a morgue & in ww2 as a look out post, as at that time it was the highest point to see over London. So many different energies exist here and our ghost stories could go on for days. Disembodied voices caught on EVP in the basement, shadows caught moving on camera- it simply is one of the best places we have the privilege to investigate!
